As part of her ongoing collaboration with The Luxury Collection, Laila Gohar hosted an event during Paris Fashion Week at The Prince de Galles Hotel, featuring both real and sculpted cakes that stood up to 10 feet tall. Mini versions of the cake were also available to guests following the event, served alongside a glass of champagne in a Lobmeyer champagne coupe from the barware collection that Laila had unveiled earlier in the year.

Dessert to feed 3,000 people in celebration of Hermès home collection: 5 meters crostata, 5 meters raspberry tart, 5 meters of tiramasu was enjoyed by guests of the event at Salone del Mobile.

As part of their Holiday Campaign, Laila curated an edit of covetable trinkets, centring around the generous spirit of the Host and the Holiday table. Ceramic candleholders and saltshakers, realised in the form of potatoes, provide a playful twist to festivities alongside hand-dipped candles in unexpected hues.

As reported by WWD, the most talked about part of the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées opening party in March 2019 was a 4-meter- long mortadella.
The Italian sausage, which had been specially flown in from Bologna and, weighing 1.5 tons, had to be manoeuvred into the store using a crane, was one of the 20 installations created by Laila Gohar, alongside hand-shaped butter sculptures, shrimp towers and a gigantic raspberry tart.

Paris – September 2022. As part of Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Exhibition, Laila Gohar literally created edible art.
Two chairs, placed on plinths and included within the opening of the exhibition, but made of cake, and eventually consumed by the guests over the course of the opening reception.
